Getting Started - OS X

Download

  1. Download and unzip the Mac OS X version from the downloads page.
  2. Move the entire openTSPS folder somewhere you will remember it (I recommend your Applications folder)

Setup: Web Camera

  1. Plug in your web camera (or use your built in one if you are on a Macbook or similar)
  2. Double-click openTSPS.app
  3. Select the "Video" tab in the GUI and make sure "Web Camera" is selected under "Source type". See the documentation for more details.
  4. Click "Save" at the bottom of the GUI to make sure TSPS selects "Web Camera" automatically when it starts up

Setup: Video File

  1. Copy a video file (or files) to your openTSPS folder at openTSPS/videos
  2. Double-click openTSPS.app
  3. Select the "Video" tab in the GUI and  select "Video File" under "Source type".
(See the documentation for more details)
  4. You should see the name of your file in the "video files" list. If you added more than one file, double click the name of the one you want to load
  5. If you add more files when TSPS is running, click "Reload directory" to refresh the file list
  6. Click "Save" at the bottom of the GUI to make sure TSPS selects the correct video file automatically the next time it starts up

Setup: Kinect

  1. Connect your Kinect via USB
  2. Double-click openTSPS.app
  3. Select the "Video" tab in the GUI and make sure "Kinect" is selected under "Source type". See the documentation for more details.
  4. After a short delay (TSPS opening the Kinect device), you should see the Kinect output
  5. Click "Save" at the bottom of the GUI to make sure TSPS selects "Kinect" automatically when it starts up
